Possible new double act Ali Hammuda and Rodrigo Duterte.

President Rodrigo "the Punisher" Duterte got a lot of stick when he apparently endorsed Filipino soldiers raping Muslim women, following the imposition of martial law on the Southern Philippine island of Mindanao in response to an upsurge of Islamic violence. But it seems that he has received some support from Muslim clerics who generally quite like the idea of rape.

Giving a pep talk to his troops on the island of Mindanao, Duterte exhorted the them to go all out in fighting ISIS militants and said they could even commit rape with impunity under martial law.
"If you go down, I go down. But for this martial law and the consequences of martial law and the ramifications of martial law, I and I alone would be responsible," he said. "Just do your job. I will take care of the rest."
Then,  referring to any soldiers who commit violations he added:
"I'll imprison you myself. If you had raped three, I will admit it, that's on me."
To be honest, I'm not really sure when this guy is joking and when he's not, but, going by how he deals with drug dealing scum, I would say he is comfortable with a bit of "collateral damage," as long as the main problem is dealt with.

Actually, it might even be a good thing for Jihadis to be worried about their wives and daughters being raped, if it helps them to stop supporting continuous sectarian chaos, terrorism, and murder. Remember this comes in the wake of Muslim extremists seizing a city, slaughtering non-Muslims, and beheading a police chief.

Really, it's not as if Muslims, as a community, have been making any special efforts to stop raping non-Muslim women, quite the reverse. So, a little quid pro quo might be just the thing to concentrate their minds. Deep down Duterte probably realizes this, and is being quite serious in his remarks.

Meanwhile half a word away in Wales, we have the case of a Muslim Iman, Ali Hammuda, putting forward the Muslim case for rape. In an audio recorded by an undercover reporter at Cardiff's  Al-Manar Mosque, Hammuda tells a group of young men:
"One of the interpretations as to what this means is that towards the end of time there will be many wars like what we are seeing today, and because of these wars women will be taken as captives, as slaves, yeah, women will be taken as slaves. And then, her master has relations with her because this is permissible in Islam, it’s permissible to have relations with a woman who is your slave or your wife."
Nice theory, bro, but you'll notice that raping enslaved women depends on one thing above all else -- military victory.

Muslim clerics like Hammuda are more than willing to promote rape when Muslims are victorious, as they were 2014, when ISIS captured 5,000 Yazidi girls and traded them as rape-slaves, but what happens when Muslims lose militarily, as they are now losing in Mindanao? Does the same moral case for rape exist?

Well, it would be "racist" or "Islamophobic" if a rule only worked one way, now, wouldn't it?
